Paluski Boats has been working for a number of years to design a 16 ft canoe that meets the needs of the rental and outfitter market. Outfitters and liveries have been looking for a canoe that is stable, with the carrying capacity to handle three adults and their gear, and equipment and hull construction that can withstand the extreme abuse that is a normal part of a rental operation.

The Paluski Passage is that canoe. The 16’4” hull is wide enough at 39” to be stable for even the most novice paddler and deep enough at 18” at the center to be safe in the roughest water conditions. The laminated hull (illustrated above) is rotomolded in high density polyethelene to a weight of 78lbs so the canoe is stiff and durable with extra material added to the high wear areas along the keel. The Passage has a very slight V hull so this big, stable, durable canoe still tracks straight and is easy for novice paddlers to handle in all water conditions.
